CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00

Report from Eldey: We set off this morning with some fairly strong winds that would increase throughout the trip. This meant to start with it was fairly calm but the swell got bigger during our morning. We spent the tour looking around Kollafjodur. To start with we headed east before then going past Hofsvik. Then we carried on a bit further out before turning to come back in between Videy and Lundey. Around here we did manage to spot a bottling grey seal. It came up a couple times very close to Videy. But as we unfortunately hadn´t managed to spot any cetaceans we handed out complimentary tickets so everyone can come back.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 11:00

Report from Elding: This morning we sailed out into a gloomy grey bay ready for adventure! The clouds were covering Esja making it quite a moody and atmospheric back drop. There was a fair bit of wind coming from the East so the sail out was pleasant but as we turned thats where the wind hit! We sailed around for a bit, spotted 2 harbour porpoises that quickly vanished. In the end we gave out complimentary tickets so that everyone could come again for free!

Birds species seen today include:

Northern fulmar, Northern gannet, Manx shearwater, black legged kittiwake, eider duck, purple sandpiper
