CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00

Report from Eldey: As we set sail this morning the skies were heavy with clouds and an eastern wind blew our way. Nevertheless, the seas were calmer than expected and so we could comfortably go out on our morning whale watching adventure. After some time, we found ourselves 2 harbour porpoises pass by. We did however not spend any time with these animals as they were quite elusive and we heard rumours about a nice pod of 5 white beaked dolphins closeby! Even though they were moving quick at times, we managed to stay with them for quite some time and we got to see them ride the waves and leap out of the water multiple times. Every now and then they even came so close to the boat we could see them in their entirety through the surface! After some time, we found ourselves a minke whale as well. This individual was moving fast but nevertheless, we got some nice good looks at this individual as well. After this encounter, it was time to wrap up this great morning tour and sail back into port.
