Tour at 17:00

We found 3 or 4 Minke whale individuals, which was of course great. Some of our passengers spotted some huge splashes out in the distance, so we decided that we would go and investigate what was causing the splashes, although this meant we would be late. A young Humpback whale was playing! Tail lobbing and breaching was what was causing the splashes, and when we got closer the Humpback breached for us twice, and showed lots of playful behaviour which was great to observe! On the way home we found a group of breaching Dolphins. Even a mother and calf among them. With a short stop at the Puffin Island to end the tour, we finished this great trip!

It seems that our "difficult" time has come to an end! In the afternoon we found two minke whales. The first one came up three times for breathing and then went for such a long deep dive that we gave up. The second one was much better! It was easy to watch and it came quite close to the boat as well. Again a nice tour with great weather!

This morning there were a lot of puffins on the island Akurey. Shortly after we sailed out, we came across a Minke whale, but it was diving for a long time, so we sailed towards a group of white-beaked dolphins which were in the area too. After we left the dolphins we saw another 3 or 4 Minke whales. A really good trip, with great weather!
