Tour at 17:00

The sea is rough, its cold and windy and cloudy. At the beginning of the tour we didnt see any whales, we started to be disapointed, but after a while we finelly spotted a Minke whale. It was just a short moment and then it disappeared. But later we got an amasing view: breaching Minke whale! They were first far from us, about 1 mile away, but then we got closer and it was just 50metres in front of us breaching! so often, maybe 20times. Later there were 6 of them around the boat and all breaching. The Minke whales were turning in the air and falling into water belly up. This was a realy unique tour. Beautiful and special!

The weather is ok, but its cold and the sea bit rought, the visibility is good. We sailed quite far from Reykjavik to see the whales; they are very ellusive on this tour. Few Minke whales are around, but not many. One comes closer to our boat, but it disappears fast in the waves. Some of them are surfacing about 100m from us. We can also smell them. The Minke whale is producing a strong smell, that is often in the air. There are also few Gannets flying around and feeding, not many Puffing left, we saw maybe 3.
