Tour at 17:00

We started the tour at Akurey to visit the puffins. Then we headed out on Faxaflói to look for the whales. The search was not difficult as they had not travelled far since our last tour. The minke whales behaved much like earlier today, and they were just as many. Another good trip on the bay.

Tour at 13:00

We had still very good whale-watching-conditions in the afternoon! We found the minke whales at almost the same area like in the morning. This time we had many feeding gannets there, too! On this tour were the minke whales even more actively feeding like in the morning. They all rolled very often around at  the surface, one was so busy with feeding that it always came  up to the surface with high speed and lifted a big part of the body above the surface and another one was twice lounge feeding, so we could see its expanded throat folds and its white belly! The shy harbour porpoises were as well feeding in this area, we spot these small animals only in good weather. This was again a really nice and very successful whale-watching-tour.

Tour at 9:00

It was a bit foggy early in the morning but the fog went while we went out to the Faxaflói bay and we had really perfect whale-watching-conditions. Like the other days we found the minke whales feeding in company with many birds. The whales fed most of the time at the surface and we could watch them rolling around at the surface. One minke whale came with half of the body out of the ocean while feeding! One of our boats actually spotted jumping and very joyful white-beaked dolphins, too and they spent some while with them. This was indeed a very nice whale-watching-tour.
