Tour at 17:00

The wind went down again so the sea was nice and calm and still very sunny. We sailed to a similar area as earlier today and the Minke whales were still out there. We spotted 8-10 Minke whales throughout the tour usually 2-3 in each area where we stopped. They were calmer than earlier today and a little easier to watch, and we even saw a calf again:) A really nice tour with lots of whales and birds.

Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding: This afternoon the wind picked up a little bit but the sea was still nice and calm. We went to a similar area as this morning and again saw quite a few huge groups of feeding birds. In the same area there were still many Minke whales around but not quite as easy to approach them as this morning. Still, a really nice trip with a lot of sun, birds and whales :)

Report from Hafsúlan Another nice sunny day, just the wind picks up a bit. We siled to Lundey on the way back and we went to the whales first. Minkes were still around just a bit more difficult to track for a long time since they were diving longer than this morning but it was still nice to enjoy many of them and see so many large feeding gannets close and the puffins which were also very numerous.

Tour at 9:00

Report from Elding: We had some beautiful weather this morning, plenty of sunshine and a nice calm sea. We headed out to look for the whales and found a great area where there were lots of Minke whales feeding in association with a lot of birds. We even saw one Minke whale calf surfacing a couple of times quite close to the boat, really cute :) We also stopped at the puffin island where there are a lot of puffins these days. A really nice tour this morning!

Report from Hafsúlan It was a very nice and sunny day, sea was clam and no white cups were visible. We sailed to Akurey and it was a very nice stop there since there were many Puffins which took off and nicely flying all above us. Then we sailed to the whales and we spotted at least 10 minkes, always close to large flocks of birds.
