Tour at 17:00
It starts to be more windy than during the day. On the way out we watched the Puffin island. Later Minke whales, two of them traveling very close to us. We saw many blows all around. We followed one Minke whale and observed it from a close distance. It was slow traveling and easy to follow. At the end of our tour we spotted a Humpback whale infront of our boat around 50metres away from us. Then it went for a deep dive and it didnt come up again. But we saw the tail of the whale. We had to go back to Reykjavik harbour, because we were late. It was a pleasant tour!
Tour at 13:00
The weather is still beautiful as well as the visibility. We spotted few Minke whales at the beginning of our tour, two calfs and one was very close to our boat. Thousends of birds all around. We were listening to their calls. We left this area and sailed further on ocean. There were more Minke whales surfacing and we watched them for a long time. It was a nice tour.
Tour at 9:00
The weather is perfect, sea is calm, the visibility is very good and sun is shining. At the beginning of our tour we watched the Puffin island with all other birds around. When we headed out on the sea we very soon spotted a Minke whale, but it swam away so we left the area and sailed further. After a while we arrived in an area, where we spotted plenty of Minke whale, Harbour porpoises and later also White beaked dolphins. They were all around the boat as well as the feeding birds. We stayed in this area quite a long time. It was wonderfull. Great tour!
