Tour at 17:00

At this point the wind was almost all gone and there were no white caps any more. We headed out and this time we decided to head further out. On our way some of us spotted a small pod of Harbour Porpoises. But they quickly disappeared so we headed on. When were getting pretty far out we started spotting splashes and some blows from whales and when we got closer there was a large flock of feeding Gannets and around them there were quite many Minke Whales some of them surfacing close to us and others further away. Some times many of them surfaced at the same time which was excellent, but after a while we had to leave them since we had a bit more than an hour back to shore.

Tour at 13:00

As the day went by the wind went down and the sea was getting much better at this point. During this tour we first spotted two difficult Minke Whales. Then eventually we found a nice Minke Whale that surfaced many times around us and several times close to the boat as well. Time was running away from us so we had to head back towards the harbour and when we are just about to head back we spotted some White-beaked Dolphins and another Minke Whale right next to them.

Tour at 09:00

We headed out to Faxaflói bay again this morning.  There was some wind but not to bad and the sun was shining which made it much better. We first spotted Harbour Porpoises. We managed to see them for a bit before we lost them and after that there was a long search. Not many birds around. One Puffin was spotted so some of them are still around. Then finally towards the end we found a very nice Minke Whale. We were able to stay with it for 40 minutes and it surfaced many times all around us.
