Very strong wind conditions in the bay of Faxaflói close to Reykjavík and therefore we went whalewatching from Sandgerði further south. It didn´t take long to spot a group of 8 white-beaked dolphins. We sailed around the south-western tip of the Reykjanes peninsula, but did´t encounter any further whales. Sea conditions were rather tough to stand .... We have been really unlucky on this tour - shortly after coming back to land in Sandgerði after 3 hours on sea , three humpback whales have been spotted nearby ..... :o((
