The weather was really good for our last tour. We had a beautiful few other the mountains and Snæfellsjökull. The sea was really calm. Perfect whale watching conditions. We headed straight out and soon spotted our first Minke Whale it surfaced right in front of our boat. But it was kind of elusive. It went for deeper dives and changed directions really often so we soon decided to go for another one. We found another whale and this one was amazing it surfaced really slowly and seemed really relaxed. It came 4 times really close to the boatlift was only 10 meters away from us. The Minke Whale surfaced 3 to 4 times and when it took a deeper dive but it never went really fast so we could follow him really good. It was a great whale to watch. On our way back the stopped at the Puffin island Akurey. There were still some Puffins flying above the Island. We also saw a Seal swimming in front of the island! Just an amazing trip today with really nice whales and a beautiful few of the coast!

We went to visit the Puffin island Akurey. There were still many Puffins flying above the Island and lots were sitting at the water surface in front of the Island. When we headed out into the bay the soon spotted a Minke Whale really close to the land. We followed him a while but he was changing directions really quickly under the water so he came up in totally directions that we aspect it. So we soon went to look for another Whale. We spotted A Minke Whale and stayed with him but when he went for  a longer deeper dive we headed on and soon we found a really nice Minke Whale. It had a really unique dorsal fin and it surfaced really slowly so we passengers had a good look at it. The Minke Whale surfaced 3 times really close to the boat it was beautiful! We also saw many birds feeding on the water surface like Arctic Terns, Kittiwakes and Arctic Skuas.

Report from Hafsúlan: The weather was gorgeous, visibility was excellent so much so that you could Snæfellsnes peninsula and the glacier. The sea was really nice too, just a few white caps. We started the tour by visiting Akurey (Puffin Island) and saw thousands of Puffins flying around and sitting outside their borrows. We then headed offshore and it was long before our first Minke Whale surfacing under a large flock of feeding Arctic Terns, Fulmars, kittiwakes and Gulls. It was the passenger that spotted the first Minke so well done, good spotting. We stayed with this Minke for a while before it dived and wasn´t seen again. During the whole tour we must of seen at least 6-10 Minkes some surfacing less than 50 meters from our boat which was really nice. On occasion the Minkes were also surface feeding creating big splashes. On the way home we saw a couple of Arctic Skuas chasing a Kittiwake and a Minke surface feeding only a couple of kilometers from the coast. Great to have them so close to the coast. Great Minke Whale/seabird tour.

Report from Elding: Before we went to see some Whales we also stopped at the Puffin island Akurey there was a lot of traffic other the Island lots of Puffins flying around and some really Arctic terns and Black backed Gulls. We went further out into the bay and spotted some Minke Whales. It took us some time until we could see one closer but when we didn’t got disappointed the Whale was really nice and surfaced around the boat many times. We stayed together with our sister vessel Elding and watched the Whale for  a while. We also saw a lot of birds especially Fulmars and Puffins out at the bay.
