Tour at 13:00

Report from Elding: we had a cold but beautiful day today. The sun was shining but though we had a little wind. We sailed from Reykjavík today to search in Faxaflói. We searched in a very large area without any luck. We had lot of shags and few fulmars as well, but no whales :( The scenery was though beautiful with snow capped mountains and the sun shining. We were very disappointed that we did not find any whales on this beautiful day, so we gave our passengers complimentary tickets and hope for better luck next time.

Report from Hafúlan: We were very busy today which was unexpected but really great especially as we were able to take two of our boats out to search Faxaflói Bay. The journey out was a bit of a rollercoaster ride with the residual swell from last nights storm but this calmed down later on in the tour. We did get to see White-beaked Dolphins which were spotted by our Engineer Einar (great cetacean spotter team on board including passengers) but these dolphins obviously had more pressing things to do as they did stay around long. The rest is pretty much the same as Eldings report. Seeing very little marine life in the bay is disappointing to us as well as for you but at least we could really enjoy the beautiful scenery of Iceland. Lets hope for better luck next time.
