CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: This morning we were blessed with blue and sunny skies and calm seas and little wind! We sailed out eager for our adventure. We sailed about 40min before spotting a blow on the horizon - 'twas a humpback whale! As we got closer we noticed it wasn't one humpback but two, one of which being Neila! Both individuals were very calm coming up multiple times and once directly infront of us and extremely close! They showed their fluke and we got to see a few 'rainblows'! When some other boats were starting to join, we decided to head on as to not overcrowd our humpback whale friends! We sailed on further into the bay, as we sailed we had 2 minke whales popping up but quickly disappearing, along with some tiny splashes caused by 10-12 harbour porpoises. These were tricky to spot so we continued as we saw more blows on the horizon. This time it was a group of 3 humpback whales!! We were truly blessed by our sightings this morning! We watched on as this trio was feeding. Eventually time ran out and we headed home, stopping again to watch a pod of 7 harbour porpoises feeding as well.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out with incredibly calm seas and the sun shining bright. It didn't take us too long to spot a small pod of harbour porpoises passing by us, even though they disappeared rather quickly. That wasn't too much of an issue though, because shortly after, we found a pair of humpback whales! We then quickly realised that one of them was the very well known female Neila. This duo was very calm and treated us to multiple fluke dives. Eventually, we gave them some peace and quiet and we moved onwards. A bit further out, some splashes in the distance caught our attention. These splashed then quickly turned into a pod of around 10 very active White-beaked dolphins! They were approaching the boat, bowriding and jumping multiple times, treating us to a spectacular show! To conclude our afternoon at sea, we then spent some time with a trio of humpback whales! Once again, very calm and fluke diving every now and then, showing off their magnificent tails! Incredibly happy about this afternoons' sightings,we eventually sailed back, soaking in the bright sunlight.
