CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: We headed out with beautiful sunshine and clear skies, we could even see Snæfellsjokull. After quite a while of looking for cetaceans, we spotted a blow, which belonged to a Humpback Whale but that was the only thing we saw of it, so after waiting we decided to head further out. After a while again we spotted a blow again in the distance. This time we were luckier, when we arrived there the Humpback Whale was surfacing a few times and also showing us its fluke a few times. Due to the time, we had to go back, but happy we saw a Humpback!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: We sailed out from the harbor under sunny skies and calm seas, with just a light breeze to keep us company. For about an hour, we searched the bay, enjoying the incredible views of the coastline and distant mountains. Then, our first sighting of the day – a minke whale! We watched as it resurfaced a few times before vanishing beneath the water. As we continued, we spotted several more minkes, with one coming up surprisingly close to the bow. Then, we heard whispers of a humpback whale nearby. We sailed over, and sure enough, it surfaced frequently, with a few beautiful fluke dives in between. As our time came to an end, we turned back toward Reykjavik, content after a magical day on the water.
