CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 1300
Report from Eldey: After a snowy morning, we were looking forward to heading out into the bay to find some wildlife! We headed back to the islands where we've been having such great success in the past month. It didn't take us long before we saw our fist blow and found a humpback whale! We followed this individual for a little while and were suddenly surprised when a second humpback also approached our boat and we soon had 2 whales, one on either side! Both of the whales were feeding but separately within the same area. There seemed to be lots of fish around as we were also surrounded by birds and seals for the whole tour. We were treated to plenty of fluke dives from both whales as we split our time between them. After a brief dumping of snow, we lost the whales but soon found them again spread further apart. One of them had started relaxing a little, before feeding again. We then found our third humpback also feeding, a little further away from the others! An incredible tour, despite the cold, snowy conditions, withe some very up-close and personal encounters!
