Tour 17:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The wind went down a lot, light conditions were really good with calm sea. We sailed first to Akurey then to the whales. We spotted several Minke whales, slowly surfacing and at the very end they showed up very close to the boat. Report from Elding: Another lovely tour with lots of feeding Minke whales around. Lots of seabirds still out on Faxaflói bay, they have been around all day!

Tour 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Another nice tour with plenty of feeding Minke whales. We really had a good chance to observe several of them rolling under the surface, fast speeding up and striking always in association with seabirds.Report from Elding: Again lovely weather! We started by looking at a small group of white-beaked dolphins and then headed to the area where the Minkes were feeding. We even saw a small calf really close to the boat!!

Tour 9:00

Report from Hafsúlan: It was a nice day with almost no wind. We sailed out first to the feeding ground where we ended up in an area full of feeding Minke whales. They went in feeding strike many times all time underneath flocks of feeding seabirds.Report from Elding:  Really nice calm sea and great weather. We could observe quite a few Minke whales feeding this morning and lots of feeding birds. We were even able to switch off the engines and just listen to the wildlife!! A great start to the day! One of the Minke whales had a very distinct mark on its dorsal fin.
