Tour at 17:00

We sailed out again and we had to go a bit further out than this morning. Whales moved a bit more offshore but at the end we spotted them. Many minke whales, then we has two sightings of white-beaked dolphins. Seabirds were really amazing , too.

Tour 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan Another nice tour, out in Faxaflói bay. We sailed out and we spotted again a lot of minkes, but we also had harbour porpoise and white-beaked dolphins. We had all the three most common species within small range. It was really amazing to follow the dolphins for a while; they were fast surfacing and socializing.

Report from Elding: Again we headed out in excellent weather. Our first stop was to observe a Minke whale which popped up suddenly in front of us, but we only spotted it once. Soon after we spotted a few Harbour porpoises, and shortly after that a group of white-beaked dolphins which came really close to the boat! We then spotted a few Minke whales before we headed towards Akurey, and then back to the harbour. A really nice tour again.

Tour at 9:00

Report from Elding We set off to Akurey island where we began our trip, looking at the puffins on the island. We then sailed out in perfect weather conditions with a lovely flat sea and lots of sunshine. We spotted several Minke whales throughout the tour and even one calf which was really cute :) There were lots of birds feeding out on the bay this morning. Report from Hafsúlan We had very good tour today, in fact the sea was flat and calm, visibility was excellent and whales were many, too. We sailed first to Lundey where we had a lot of Puffins, then we sailed to the feeding ground where we had mainly Minke whales, qite many of them. There were all feeding actively, some we had close feeding in association with large flocks of birds.
