Tour at 17:00

It got a little bit windier in comparison to the morning and early afternoon tours but we had a very nice tour out at sea. We first spotted a couple of minke whales, which unfortunately surfaced only once. We then decided to keep on going and we ended up in a very suggestive spot where a huge flock of more than 200 seabirds were feeding making a lot of noise and where after few minutes we spotted three minke whales, which has been feeding and surfacing underneath the birds for most of the tour. Some where really large minke whales and it was very interesting to observe so close such a unique association. On our way back even a couple of white-beaked dolphins approaching us!

The weather conditions were still very good. A ot of minke whales have been spotted as well, some we had this morning but many new. We even had the unique chance to ended up in a spot where we encountered a couple of humpback whales, probably mother and calf, feeding with al least 3 minke whales around, and a few times where even surfacing together just 30 m far from each other.

Very nice sea, calm and flat. We had two main sightings: a gruop of al least 10 minke whales surfacing all around us, and one of them was really close and relaxed, exposing the pointed beak, showing the white underneath and its massive body. In our second sighting we ended up in another area where a lot of seabirds where feding and we had as well there a lot of minke whales, we would have like to stay there longer but we had to be back and enjoy Puffin Island where a lot of Puffins have been seen.
