Tour at 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Wonderful weather like the last couple of days. Very soon after we left the harbour we spotted a group of White-beaked dolphins. A very active group, breaching, jumping and fast swimming. They came quite close to the boat and we stayed with them for a while. Further out we spotted at least 4 Minke Whales and a small group of Harbour Porpoises. All the Minkes were diving for a long time but one of them surprised us by surfacing 15 m. in front of our boat, two times. The Minke "Big Missing" was also spotted again in an area where there were a lot of birds including about 5 Gannets which have been a bit lacking over the last week or so. Very nice tour;)

Report from Elding: The weather was amazing flat calm sea, no wind and sunny. Couldn´t ask for better weather. We headed out into Faxaflói and came across an area where there was about 2 or 3 Minke Whales as well as many Harbour Porpoises but the Minkes were being quite difficult, surfacing once and then not seen again for a very long time. So, we decided to head further out and eventually came across a Minke we know very well called "Big Missing" which was first catalogued last year and seen many times this season. It treated us very well by surfacing many times and close to the boat too. On our way back to the harbour we stopped at puffin Island and saw many Puffins as well as Fulmars, Arctic Terns, Brent Geese, Kittiwakes, Eider Ducks and Gulls. Great tour.
