Report from Eldey: Just as we were about to leave the snow started coming in, making an exciting beginning to the tour. We sailed out in the snow with a beautiful view of the Reykjanes Peninsula all snow covered as well. Just as we left the harbour we saw a big flock of birds and 5 harbour porpoises swimming around and feeding. We ventured further out, scanning the horizons and checking for any cetacean activity. We sailed for quite a while and right at the end saw a blow! 'Twas a humpback whale! This was a very elusive individual. We ended up staying out as long as we could however it stayed elusive and we only saw a fluke dive in the distance. In the end we gave complimentary tickets so that everyone can come back again for free!
