Tour at 13:00

Today both boats (Hafsúlan and Elding) were out exploring Faxaflói Bay in search of whales. It took only 15 minutes to find something, a large Minke Whale. It was obvious that it was not the same one as this morning. This one had a notch in his dorsal-fin. It seemed to be very busy feeding so after some time we left it and went further offshore to the west. All of a sudden,  BLOW!!! and there was a Humpback Whale. It was a bit tricky to follow this one but everyone got a good look at it. We sailed back to Reykjavík in the beautiful weather with a bunch of smiling passengers.

Tour at 09:00

Only about 10 minutes after leaving the port we saw the first Harbour porpoises.  They were shy but we found a group that we could see well. We went further and soon go a message from our other boat Hafsúlan.  A Minke whale and a nice one too.  Half an hour we spend with the whale and after a short search for dolphins we turned back to the port.  A good tour in wonderful weather.
