CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00

Report from Eldey: For our 1st whale-watching tour of the day, we headed straight into the Faxaflói bay to search for whales. We were blessed with a beautiful view of the landscape around us, with kilometers of sea giving space in the horizon to fantastic mountains, illuminated by the few rays of sunshine that would pass through the clouds. Strong winds and waves made our search a bit more challenging for finding the whales, but we did not fail. Eventually, we saw blows on the horizon, and as we closed in to investigate, we rapidly notice that we were in the presence of a humpback whale. After spending some time with these individual, we came across 2 more humpback whales, travelling together. As the tour approached to its end, we turned back towards Reykjavik, with passengers satisfied for seeing 3 whales of the 4th largest whale species in the world!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 11:00

Report from Elding: Today was quite a windy day but luckily this didn't affect the swell too much. After some travelling we were met by a pod of 5 White-Beaked Dolphins. As they passed us by we did even see a couple jumping out of the water! They were however travelling very quickly so after a bit we lost sight. Not too long after, we did spot a Humpback whale! This individual was very calm and went on short dives so we got multiple close looks at the beautiful fluke. Eventually we said goodbye to this individual and we sailed back home,

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We set off from Reykjavik this afternoon, still a bit windy and with some white caps but we were full of excitement. About 30 minutes in, we spotted our first humpback whale. Everyone gasped as it's fluke rose out of the water before it dove back down. We stayed with her for a while, just soaking in the moment. When more boats started showing up, we decided to move on. Not long after, we saw another blow, and then spotted two more in the distance. The ocean was buzzing with activity. We hung out with the second whale for a bit watching it go slowly under the water super close to our boat and thrilled to see so many humpback whales! As the time passed, we headed back to Reykjavik, chatting and sharing stories of what we saw while enjoying some hot chocolate. We docked with hearts full and a new appreciation for Iceland's whales

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 17:00

Report from Eldey: We sailed out this evening to Faxaflói Bay, with calmer winds than in the previous tour, but filled with anticipation. After some 45 minutes, we had our first whale sighting, a humpback whale. Everyone watched in awe as her fluke rose and this giant dove gracefully. We stayed with her for a while, before leaving so that we could not bother the whale. Soon enough though, we saw another blow. This second whale came super close, sometimes less than 5 meters from the ship, in a show of confidence and trust that we don't see so often. After some time, we moved to a different area and spotted another blow. Nearby, it was a 3rd humpback whale, accompanied by a different species, a pod of white-beaked dolphins, who were jumping around the whale and our boat, creating a lively scene of socialization between 2 highly intelligent species. As the evening came to a close, we headed back to the harbor, sharing stories and marveling at the day’s experiences. We docked with hearts full and a deeper appreciation for Iceland’s marine life.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 19:00

Report from Elding: We sailed once again with a very calm sea and very little wind. We sailed for 35 minuets and spoted couple of puffins and Artic Terns, after 10 minutes more of less we spotted our first humpback whale at 12 o clock after 10 minutes we started to spot 3 more blows on the distance meaning the area been very active with many humbacks We went closer to one of them  but the they keep appearing more for which it felt at a moment it was a blows competition. Finally we got closer to one and it's fluke rose out of the water before it went back down. We stayed with her for a while, We saw another blow, and then spotted two together, The ocean seem very active all very happy to have this beautiful experience together with an amazing sunset while we slowly sailed back to Reykjavik. Everyone seem happy and once more another successful night tour.
