Tour at 13:00

We ended in Hafnafjörður on the 9:00 tour and that is where we left from for the 13:00. We wanted to try our luck with another area. We sailed along the coast towards Keflavík and stopped off at the bird cliffs on the way to observe the Kittiwakes and Fulmars which was really nice to see. There were a few fishing boats in the area so we did have high hopes to see the cetaceans. No cetaceans unfortunately but we did get loads of fulmars flying around the vessel and entertaining the passengers for a while. We really hope this changes soon and we are crossing our figures that the Minke Whales will start to appear sooner rather than later.

Bird seen today include: Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Glaugous Gulls, Black-backed Gulls, Red-breasted Mergansers, Eider Ducks, Cormorants, Shags, Long-tailed Ducks and other species of seagull.

Tour at 9:00

What a beautiful morning to go whale watching. We added an extra tour onto the day because of a group of school kids from England and so we offered it to other passengers to join as well. The sun and the sea conditions were lovely. Unfortunately we still did not see any cetaceans (whales, dolphins or Poproises) but it was a nice day to be at sea nonetheless.
