Tour at 20:30

Once again the midnight sun was breath taking and seeing Reykjavik lit up on the way back was the perfect ending to the tour. We started our adventure at Lundey Puffin Island and saw maybe 5-6 Puffins hanging out with the numerous Black Guillemots (more than I've ever seen there before) then we headed out into the sunset. We where nearly heading back to Reykjavik losing our hope of not seeing a Minke Whale until this AMAZING!!! One surfaced just 20 meters from our boat. We were able to stay with this Minke for a good 10 minutes or longer watching it surface just 5 meters from our boat. I THINK THE BEST MINKE WHALE OF THE DAY!! CHEERS BUDDY!! HAVE A GREAT GAY PRIDE WEEKEND!!

Tour at 17:00

Weather was amazing the wildlife not so much. Once out into Faxaflói Bay we had to wait and wait and wait before a Minke Whale showed itself. Our patience paid off but the Minke Whale surfaced 3 times but about 100 meters away from us and most passengers weren't able to see it, then it went for a deep dive and did not show up again. We ended the tour at Akurey and only saw 4-5 Puffins sitting on the waters surface. Not a very good tour so complimentary tickets given.

Tour at 14:00

Again we had the beautiful weather and nice calm sea. We went to Lundey at the beginning of the trip and had a nice look at the puffins. We then headed out to the bay and searched for a very long time and unfortunately couldn't spot any whales. That's just how nature is!! We offered our passengers a complimentary trip and hope they can join us in the next few days as the weather forecast is looking really good!

Tour at 13:00

This weather is amazing. Icelandic summer has finally arrived. Whoo hoo!! Went to Lundey first to see the Puffins at home and I think the whole colony was there. Thousands of them. Then we headed of out into Faxaflói Bay and saw both Harbour Porpoises and Minke Whales. The Minke Whales were a little bit elusive, not allowing us to get too close but at least we saw at least 3 individuals in this tour.

Tour at 10:00

We set off this morning with some beautiful weather out on the bay. We started by going to the puffin island Lundey where we could observe the puffins for a while before heading out to look for the whales. When we arrived in our usual whale watching area, we found one Minke whale which we stayed with for quite a long time. As we were moving on to another area we spotted a big blow and another Minke whale. We started to head back and on the way to the harbour we found a small group of Harbour Porpoises which came quite close to the boat

Tour at 09:00 Once again a perfect day to go whale watching, calm seas, blue sky and great visibility. We started of at Lundey and saw thousands of Puffins chilling out at home. Then once we got into the main whale watching area it wasn't long before we saw a small pod of White-beaked Dolphins. Stayed with them a little while before we went looking for the Minke Whales. We found one but it was quite busy with feeding and did not surface that frequently so we headed towards the Reykjanes peninsula and we found two Minkes, one surfaced just 5 meters from our boat but he did it sneakily as all the passengers were on the other side.

Birds seen on todays tours include: Puffins, Fulmars, Gannets, Arctic Terns, Black backed gulls, Manx Shearwaters, Kittiwakes, Guillemots, Razorbills, Cormorants, Eider Ducks and Black Guillemots.
