Report from Eldey: Today was pure magic on the water! The snowflakes were falling gently as we sailed out, and though the sea had a bit of a swell, it only added to the adventure. After about 30 minutes, we spotted a massive blow—a humpback whale! It was probably feeding, so we waited eagerly for it to surface again. While we waited, a tiny harbor porpoise popped up, surfing the waves like a pro! It was darting around, having the time of its life, which was a total surprise and made everyone laugh. As we kept our eyes on the humpback, we noticed at least four seals hanging nearby, likely trying to score a snack from the whale’s feast. Such a cool sight! It was a perfect day on the water—snow, swell, and a whole bunch of awesome wildlife. Can’t wait for the next one!
