CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Elding: We sailed out the bay in calm seas for the first time in a while, navigating straight out into the bay. Very quickly, we encountered numerous white beaked dolphins, with at least 4 pods and over 30 individuals roaming around the area. Some were jumping and splashing, we even managed to spot a younger individual ! We decided to continue going further, as we spotted other individuals farther away. Sadly, none were slow enough for us to enjoy, so we came back to our original spot. This is when we started seeing several minke whales, joining the dolphins: 7 individuals were seen, but only 2 got really close to us, enough for all to see both snout and blowhole. As all the gannets plunge dived, we happily headed back home.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Elding: Our journey started with sunny skies as we sailed out to adventure. We searched for about 40 min before we had our fist sighting! A minke whale!! We were able to watch as the whale resurface a couple of times and we saw the dorsal fin getting closer to the boat! However the sighting didn't take long as the whale vanished in the water! We continued our journey and spotted some large flocks of birds flying around and we decided to wait a for a bit. We were able to sight another minke whale but it was quite far and a bit elusive. We then decided to sail further out and we spotted a small pod of white beaked dolphins but they weren't very interested in us! In the end we decided to give out complementary tickets to our passengers to try again another day!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 17:00
Report from Elding: We set off on another adventure this evening, the wind had picked up but the sea remained fairly calm and the rain held off for the most part. After about an hour we saw big splashes up ahead. They were from some very active but fast moving white beaked dolphins. There was 2 pods of about 3-4 individuals each. They would come right up to our boat constantly meaning we had a really good look at them through the water. They then disappeared but then the bay burst into life. These dolphins started to jump like crazy and at the same time we saw a huge blow from a humpback whale! We saw it come up a few times whilst the dolphins were still jumping lots. It was so exciting. We then got to see the humpback resurface a few times, we got to even see a few fluke dives and it roll once. It was very likely feeding now with the dolphins as well as 3-4 minke whales that we saw too. One of these minkes came within metres of our bow too. Many seabirds including Arctic skuas and Northern gannets were here too. We then headed back home after an incredible tour.
