Tour at 20:30
Report from Elding: It was quite windy on this tour but clear blue skies and excellent visibility. We could see the Snæfellsjökull glacier very well and especially towards the end of the tour with the sun almost at the horizon it was beautiful on the Faxaflói bay. However we saw no whales and gave out complimentary tickets. At the puffin islands we saw puffins and a few skuas chasing them. Despite no whale sightings it was a very beautiful evening out on the bay.

Report from Hafsúlan: The weather calmed down on our evening tour. It was still a little bit windy but we also could enjoy the sunshine while sailing. All in all we saw a lot of sea birds on our tour and we also saw 2 minke whales. From the first we could only see the blow but the second one we could see several times as he surfaced the water. On our way back we visited the puffin island.

Report from Elding: The weather had calmed down a bit when we headed out to find the whales. The sun was still shining and we were really hoping for a better luck than in the 10 o'clock tour. We were able to spot a minke whale soon in the tour. This one was being very elusive and it was very tricky to see it. We did not want to waste our time there so we headed further out. We had to search in a very large area again but suddenly we spotted a blow! It was another minke whale! This one was in a better whale watching mood and it surfaced quite many times just right in front of us! It was very beautiful to see it with the sun shining on its back. We stopped in Akurey the puffin Island on the way back but it was a big surprise to us all that there were very few puffins there now, but we saw lot of arctic scuas on the bay and also around the Island. Hopefully the puffins were just out fishing this afternoon when we visited them.

Report from Hafsúlan: After two difficult tours in the morning also our midday was a little bit difficult. The whales were still very illusive and we always could only see the blow of the whales and as we went closer to them they simply disappeared. We were able to see one minke whale two times surfacing but since we want to make our passengers 100 percent happy on our tours we decided to give out complimentary tickets.

Report from Elding: It was both windy and sunny this summer morning when we headed out in Faxaflói bay. We had lot of white tops on the surface so it was little bit tricky to spot the whales. We managed to find 4 minke whales in total but we were not able to see none of them very well. Only the blow and once we saw one of them surfacing before disappearing. We searched in a very large area and we were not able to see any of these whales properly or finding one we could take a look at. We gave out complimentary tickets and hope to see our guests again.

Report from Hafsúlan: On our morning tour it was a little bit windy and the boat was rolling a bit with the waves. It was a little bit tricky on this tour because we also had a lot of white tops on the surface. Unfortunately our whales were very illusive on this tour. We saw in total three minke whales but we could only spot the blow of them and could see only once the black back of one whale but then they always disappeared. Therefore we invited our passengers on another trip with us and gave out complementary tickets
