Tour at 13:00

After two days of cancellations we were finally able to get back out onto the sea. The weather forecast looked good but we knew there would be a bit of a swell from the last few days of strong winds. We sailed out from Sandgerði and headed straight out to the capelin fishing boats were we saw 3 humpbacks last time. It took us a long time to find anything and the weather was only getting worse with the swell, wind and rain. We thought it was going to be a none sighting tour today but as we were getting near to the harbour and our hopes were starting to fade we had a Humpback Whale jump put of the water right in front of us almost saying I'M OVER HERE! We followed this whale for a while and got to see some amazing behaviour rolling, tail slapping, and he/she left us a nice surprise at the surface, lovely brown whale poo. Yummy. Well not the best of weathers but the best of whales.
