Report from Elding: Sailing out this morning, we didn't expect to be able to go so far out the bay. The sea started nice enough that we got to spot 1 humpback whale. Through the wind and waves, we managed to stay a long time next to this logging individual resting away calmly, which entertained the rough atmosphere. We headed back to the bay, braving the worsening conditions but happy for our first whale of the day.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Elding: in the afternoon, we had more or less the same conditions as the morning, but we were excited and ready to find the whale we saw in the morning! So we packed ourselves with overalls and raincoats, since we had a bit of light rain, and off we went. We were very amazed by the amount of seabirds around. Since it is summertime, we could see many different species and had fun pointing them out, specially when the clumsy puffins came to say hello. We came closer to the area where we saw the whale this morning and our eyes were sharp as a knife. It took a while, but we saw the big blow of this humpback whale, that was a very tricky one: spending over 10 min underwater, we saw it two times more in the distance before it really disappeared. We were running out of time and started our journey home and we didn't get to see anything else, so since we couldn't have any good sighting of the previous whale, we decided to give out complimentary tickets so the passengers could come and maybe be luckier in another opportunity!
