Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 13:00 Classic Whale Watching tour. Make sure to dress according to weather, as it is usually colder at sea than on land.

• CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: After a short snowfall, the horizon opened up so we could get into the bay. It didn't take more than 10 minutes to spot our first cetacean, a humpback whale blowing away near the shores of Videy! It had the company of two other fellow humpbacks that were doing different things. This first individual was doing short dives close to the container ship's harbour while never showing a fluke. Some 4 to 6 seals were also spotted near this whale but never interacted. After a bit we moved towards our second individual who was doing more erratic dives, taking 2 minutes in some of them and changing direction now and then. It came close to the city harbour where we had just birthed. After some close encounters with this beast, we proceeded to find the third individual who was closer to Engey. This one was showing the fluke many times but always at a shallow angle. It had lots of diatoms on its body giving it a once colouration. It then joined the first individual and they were side by side at some point by our surprise! They the followed each other while more seals were flabbergasted by the size and approach of these animals. Our tour came to an end, it was an amazing experience for our lovely passengers.
