Tour 17:00

Very nice tour, still covered a bit since it was drizzling but the whales were really nice and they came close at least a couple of them. One in particular, a Minke whale surfaced less than 30 meter at 12 and we could even see the side flippers and the white band on them. Very nice capture!

Tour 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan:  Another nice day still same weather conditions. We sailed out and we had still Minke whales always stopped together with very large flock of feeding birds. They were fast and big individuals.

Report from Elding: The wind had gone down a little bit but the sea was still a bit bumpy. We didn't have to sail as far this time and we could spot 4-5 Minke whales throughout the trip, always between 50m and 100m away from the boat! A bit easier than this morning’s trip, and still lots of birds out on the bay.

Tour at 9:00

Report from Elding: Quite windy out on the bay and we had to sail very far to find the whales. We found 2 Minke whales in one area which we could spot a couple of times. The weather made it quite tricky for us this morning! There were many groups of feeding birds out on the bay today.

Report from Hafsúlan: Quite overcast and a bit windy today. We had out in Faxaflói bay a couple of Minke whales, they were moving around flocks of feeding seabirds. A lot of gannets, gulls and Puffins. Whales went in feeding underneath the birds twice very spectacularly. Once it was a plunge and the second time we just spotted a very large splash under the birds.
