Tour at 17:00

The weather conditions pretty much stayed the same throughout the tour. We started the tour at Lundey and saw many Puffins. It then took us over an hour to find a place that showed potential, seabirds everywhere, Gannets, Gulls, Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Arctic Terns, Skuas, Puffins, Guillemots. However no Whales (very strange). There was a couple of Harbour Porpoises seen but only by a few passengers but not everywhere. No whales for the tour :(

Tour at 14:00

We went out in a rough weather so our passengers had to hold on tight to the boat. First we took a stop at the Puffin Island but didn´t see any birds there so we decided to sail out in search for whales. We went far out and found big flocks of feeding birds. There were many gannets diving around us which were quite amazing to see. But unfortunately we didn´t spot any whales, no matter how stubborn we were to find them, they didn´t show up. Our brave passengers got complimentary tickets. Hopefully they will be luckier next time.

Tour at 13:00

The wind had picket up and we had some swell when we headed out to Faxaflói bay, Lundey, the Puffin colony was our first stop and there were some Puffins around. It took us some time to find the first cetaceans. It was a group of White-beaked dolphins. They had a small calf with them so it was difficult to get close to them. Then we searched some more. We spent a long time searching but the only thing we found deep out in the bay was a lot of birds. Many diving Gannets, and on our fish finder we could see, there were a lot of fish in this area. So the question was: Where were the whales? On our way back on of our nice passengers spotted a small group of Harbour porpoises. We saw them quite well. So, a good ending of this tour.

Tour at 10:00

We sailed out in a windy weather and went first to the puffin Island. We didn´t see many puffins in the Island so went further out were we spotted a Minke Whale. He wasn´t in the perfect whale watching mood to begin with but later on he came closer to the boat and showed its body very well to our passengers. We observed it for a while and when it disappeared we sailed to another area but didn´t find anything. We also saw many birds on the sea today, like diving gannets and seagulls.

Tour at 9:00

It was very windy on this tour and the sky was overcast with quite poor visibility so much so that you couldn´t see either peninsula so well. We headed straight out into Faxflói Bay today for this tour. We first came across a small pod of White-beaked Dolphins which were really nice to watch but not that interactive. We then went further offshore, it was awhile before we saw our first Minke Whale. There were at least two in the area but very elusive. We did get to see them for a couple of nice and slow surfaces. On our way back to the coast we saw one more Minke Whale but only for 3 surfaces and not very visible ones. We then spotted White-beaked Dolphins again, don´t know if they were the same ones from before or different ones but they were really nice to watch. We ended the tour at Akurey and saw many Puffins.
