The whales didn't behave much better in the evening. We spotted several times a blow but the whales to whom they belonged, never show up. There were a few minke whales in the area but they weren't cooperative at all. In the end we spotted one minke whale a few times far away!
Tour at 13:00
The wind picked up a bit in the afternoon and it started raining. This time our passengers had to show a lot of patience. One of our boat found one nice and closely surfacing minke whale which disappeared when the other boat finally arrived :-( So we kept on searching and very late our boat found one single minke whale - maybe the same which just disappeared before - and we had the feeling that we found the only one in Faxaflói bay! But it "behaved nicely" and finally we had smiling faces on board and excited people watching this minke whale!
Tour at 9:00
The whales seem to be rather far out in Faxaflói bay these days. Today we couldn't find as many feeding birds like the last days and therefore there weren't as many minke whales there either. The birds show us usually that we have a lot to feed. But still we could manage to find two minke whales. Especially the second one was very nice. It surfaced many times often close to the boat and didn't travel much. We called our second boat and when they arrived they could see it immediately just in front of the boat, but then it started to move away from the boats!
