Tour at 13:00

The weather in Reykjavík was beautiful when we left but like we know, it's not always the same when you get out to Faxaflói bay. But we went in hope to see something nice. The fog was even heavier on this tour then this morning. It was so peaceful and for a while you could only see few meters away from the boat, one and one Harbour Porpoise came surfacing and few birds flew slowly by. Towards the end it started to clear a bit and then finally a proper flock of birds feeding and before we knew it we had lots of White-beaked Dolphins all around us and we spotted at least 6 different Minke Whales and more of them were further away. The saying good things happen to those who wait is appropriated for today's tours. Among birds we spotted today: Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills, Fulmars, Gannets, an Artic Tern, and Kittiwakes

Tour at 09:00

When we left the harbour this morning it was a bit foggy but it looked as if it was about to clear up, at least here close to Reykjavík. But when we got out there the fog was really heavy. It made it very hard for us to search but we were able to spot lots of Harbour Porpoises spread over some large area. Towards the end some of us spotted a Minke Whale heading away from us, then it disappeared and after a while it came up a gain a bit far away and then never again.
