CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Hafsulan: this morning we set sail from Reykjavik with medium wind and occasional ray of sun. Not long after we left, our captain spotted the first animal, a minke whale. However, we were not able to see it again, so we kept sailing until another minke whale appeared. This time the animal was surfacing multiple times and we were able to follow it for a bit. Later we found a pod of about 10 white-beaked dolphins, coming very close so we could see them very clearly under the water. They also enjoyed bow ridding for a few moments before they swam away.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Hafsulan: The clouds had come over a bit more this afternoon as we headed out to search for more wildlife. After heading to the middle of the bay for about an hour seeing many seabirds but no cetaceans we heard whispers from the other boats of a blow closer back to Reykjavik. So we turned around and as we got closer a humpback whale breached out of the water! We then managed to get a bit closer to the whale near Grotta. We saw it surface and fluke dive a lot. It was travelling in towards the islands. After some great sightings we decided to leave the humpback and search for other things. We passed by Lundey and saw many puffins. Then as we came past Engey we saw the humpback again. We got to see a few more fluke dives before heading back to the harbour with a very happy boat.
