Tour at 13:00
Again we sailed out with a nice calm sea. We found the Harbour porpoises in the same area as this morning and had a look at them for a while. We then headed on a bit further and again, spotted some white-beaked dolphins jumping in the distance. As we approached they stopped jumping and we were able to observe them quite closely as before. Then one dolphin started jumping really close to the boat, less than 100m away. It was really entertaining to watch! We headed on a bit further and were really surprised when we spotted a Humpback whale just 200m from the boat. We were able to watch this Humpback whale for a while and it showed us the flukes a few times. We then sailed back to Reykjavík with a boat full of happy passengers :)
Tour at 9:00
This was a nice day out on the bay today, with a very nice calm sea. We started by looking at a group of Harbour porpoises which weren't very far out. A little bit further out we spotted 4 or 5 Minke whales, which we stayed with for a while. We then headed towards some big splashes and found some white-beaked dolphins jumping! We only saw them jumping from a distance but we were able to observe them quite closely after that. On the way back we spotted another Minke whale and some more Harbour porpoises. A really nice trip :)
