  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Today's whale watching tour is on schedule from Reykjavík this afternoon! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Eldey: Today, we had nice calm seas so we all headed out of the harbour optimistic that we could find some wildlife. There was a bit of wind, but that just gave our passengers a true Icelandic experience! It didn't take us long to find 2 humpback whales between the islands! They were separate but not too far apart. We split up from the other whale watching boat so we could have a whale each to oursleves. The whale we were watching was active at first, giving us really nice views of its white tail, but then it started to get sleepy and we were so lucky to be able to watch it super close to the boat resting. We stayed with this individual for a while and then when another boat arrived, we decided to check out the second individual just a couple hundred meters away. This one was feeding surrounded by a small flock of birds. Again, we got great fluke dives! Unfortunately, we then started to run out of time and had to head back into the harbour, so we all headed back inside to warm up with some hot chocolates!
