This morning we enjoyed a close sighting of a playful pod of white-beaked dolphins, however they seemed to be a little shy, so we ended up handing out complimentary tickets to all passengers. In the afternoon we were treated to a calm humpback whale showing off fluke dives under clear skies and rainbows. The last tour of the day was cancelled due to weather.

The winds were strong this morning so we headed out into the bay past Hvalfjörður where we spotted 2 minke whales, a pod of 6-8 white-beaked dolphins and 4 fast harbour porpoises. Since none of them were in a sociable mood, we decided to offer our passengers complimentary tickets to join us again another day! The rest of the day was cancelled due to weather.

The morning tour had encounters with minke whales and a small pod of harbour porpoises, but sadly the afternoon tour did not see any larger cetaceans despite our best efforts. As both tours did not meet our expectations, complimentary tickets were issued to all so our guests can return for another chance to see the incredible wildlife of Faxaflói bay.
