The IMAGINE PEACE TOWER was relit yesterday, 9 October, for the 10th time on Viðey island with a peaceful (yet windy) ceremony. Over 1400 guests made their way to the island to be present for the ceremony and illumination of the tower!
Tonight, 10 October, we will start operating the Imagine Peace Tower tour, sailing out to the island in the darkness, watching the Imagine Peace Tower from up close whilst learning more about the artwork, the island and why Yoko chose Reykjaví, Iceland to hosts this beam of light and peace!
The tour runs on the following dates in 2016:
09 Oct - 08 Dec at 20:00 (John’s birthday to death day)
21 Dec - 22 Dec at 18:00 (Winter equinox)
27 Dec - 28 Dec & 30 Dec at 18:00 (Winter equinox)
31 Dec at 16:00 (New Year’s Eve)
18 Feb at 20:00 (Yoko’s birthday)
20 Mar – 27 Mar at 21:00 (Spring equinox / J&Y’s Honeymoon)
