Wetland restoration

About 70% of CO₂ emissions in Iceland come from drained wetlands, yet only 15% of these areas are actively used. Restoring wetlands is one of the most effective ways to capture carbon, improve biodiversity, and restore natural ecosystems.

Elding is a proud founding member of the organization for wetland restoration, actively contributing to efforts that mitigate climate change. By participating in this project, we aim to offset our carbon emissions while supporting a healthier environment for future generations.
