What a great tour to start the year! We set out in amazing weather, not too cold, and clear skies. Shortly after leaving port we saw a humpback whale just west of Lundey island. Then we moved on, and we spotted 2 more humpback whales, making a total of 3 individuals. We got lots of flukes, and the last one, was really close to the boat!

We didn't have to wait long for the northern lights! There were green and red colours above the mountain Esja and also just above our heads and we enjoyed them the whole night! What a perfect way to start a new year in Reykjavík!

The weather conditions were really good today and we were all filled with the spirit of New Year's Eve! Eventually we found 4 humpback whales, all separate, but they gave quite the show - one of them breached! We were a bit far when it happened, but most people could see it. It was spectacular, and it did a few fin and tail slaps also!

Again, we set off on two boats, but despite the sun, it was very cold. In total there were 5 humpback whales surrounding the islands close to Reykjavík. The best of these was a pair that came up very regularly and showed us their beautiful flukes too. In the distance we also could see Snæfellsjökull for the first time in a while too!

We already had an arch as soon as we set sail from the harbour! The northern lights were with us most of the night, sometimes bright and sometimes faded. It was quite a nice evening and we were happy with a double arch!

We sailed out under clear skies and a promising forecast. While the northern lights decided to stay hidden from us, Mars and Jupiter shone brightly. We made sure everyone left with a smile by offering complimentary tickets.

The sun was shining as we one again sailed out on two boats. Within 15 minutes, we had found our friend Flak, a humpback whale we have seen since 2022. In a short amount of time we stumbled upon another 3 whales that were quite busy feeding on the sprat that still is around the islands of Reykjavík. We also saw 4 harbour seals!

The forecast was promising this evening, with many gaps predicted in the clouds. We saw 2 humpback whales and some fireworks, but no auroras tonight. We offered all our passengers complimentary tickets for a future tour.

The sun was finally out as we set off on two boats. We very quickly spotted a blow from a humpback whale - this was the first of 3-4 during the trip along with a grey- and harbour seal. One whale was by far the most active as we saw it breach twice before loads of pec slaps too! Then we both headed back to shore with happy passengers.
