Report from Eldey: When we sailed out of the harbour the forecast had predicted that the clouds would be gone since an hour. But we were quite concerned to see that the sky was still overcast. After an hour though the sky started to clear up and we soon enjoyed a wonderful windless clear night. The sea was very quiet, the moon nearly full and we could see the stars showing up one after another. Across the beam of the Imagine Peace Tower the luckiest among us spotted shooting stars and only one thing was missing to turn this tour into a perfect one: the Northern Lights. We waited for them for an hour but by then the clouds were showing up again and we had to head back without seeing any Northern Lights. We offered complementary tickets to our passengers, with these they can come again for free on any of our Northern Lights tours within two years. We hope they will all have a better luck next time.
