Report from Eldey: The night started in a typical Icelandic winter way - snow! But we know the Icelandic weather can change in just a a minute and sure enough as we headed out the snow stopped and the clouds started to disappear giving us a clear sky. The night was cold but still comfortable with no winds and we provide our warm overalls so anyone that wanted to be outside in the search for the northern lights could do that with comfort. As the night went on our biggest enemy to see the northerns lights came back, the clouds.. We waited with patience for the clouds to disappear and were rewarded with stars in the sky once more. The weather in Iceland can be very unpredictable and we were hopeful all the way in to the harbour but the lights were not with us tonight. Thus, we gave all our passengers the possibility to come with us again for free within two years using their complimentary ticket. Hopefully they can come again and get another chance to the amazing northern lights.
