We are sailing out to look for Northern Lights at 21:00 / 9PM. Tonight we offer both Northern Light Cruise and Northern Lights on Viðey Island http://elding.is/tours?type=northern The forecast predicts moderate Aurora activity, or 2-3 out of 9 and semi clouded.
Sightings: The skies were cloudier than we hoped and with little to no wind teh low and mid clouds were not moving. Unfortunately, no northern lights were seen on this evening´s tour and according to the Icelandic observatory real-time observations http://en.vedur.is/weather/articles/nr/2549 they were not active during the tour thus, if it was a clear sky we might not have seen them anyway. We offered our passengers complementary tickets in the hope that they will have more luck next time.
