We are sailing out to look for Northern Lights at 10 pm tonight. The forecast predicts a 3 out of 9 Aurora activity and semi clouded skies. Please contact us for further information at Elding@elding.is or +354 519 5000.
Sightings: We had good cover from mount Esja from the north easterly winds as we sailed out under cloudy skies from Reykjavik harbour. We sailed out to Kjalarnes with the clouds clearing occasionally to reveal a starry sky but no northern lights. Above the Esja we saw a faint glow every now and then, most likely northern lights hiding behind the cloud cover. We continued on for a while but tonight the lights were just out of our reach behind the clouds. For their efforts we gave our passengers all a complimentary ticket valid for another tour with us within two years. We hope to see them all again!
