Report from Elding: Tonight was not our most lucky tour, as we went through quite harsh sea conditions. A chilly strong wind was blowing against us, the sea was choppy, and unfortunately there was a large cloud cover above us. There was some areas where we had clear view, which enabled us to have few glimpses of northern lights, but it was always either only for a short time or far away from us. We had distinctive views on fluorescent green light on the edges of the cloud cover, there was definitely northern lights but most of the show was happening behind the clouds. We deemed that the only small and ephemerous portions of northern lights we could show to the passengers were not satisfying, so we offered complimentary tickets to the brave sailors that came with us. Hopefully they will get a better shot in quieter conditions !
