Report from Eldey: Oh what a surprisingly wonderful northern lights night. We were sailing out basically not knowing what to expect, sure the sailing conditions were excellent and the cloud cover prediction promising, but the aurora activity had been dropped to a ZERO just an hour before our tour started and then turned back up to a one. Aurora activity is probably the hardest one to predict and that was our luck. We actually waited for almost two hours before we could see the northern lights with our naked eye, but then the show really started. Bright green dancing across the sky with hints of pink here and there. We were really, really happy to see them and enjoyed them to the fullest for the remaining time of the tour. What a great night that reminds us once more how unpredictably mother nature can be in it's best way.
