Report from Eldey: The forecast for tonights was a bit cloudy but we decided to sail out and try our luck. Almost as soon as we left harbour the northern lights appeared. They were breaking their way through thick clouds. Gradually the clouds vanished and the lights gave us a nice show. The lights lasted for almost 20 minutes. Even though they did not reappear the sky was clear and we could enjoy the starry night sky. It often pays off taking a chance when the forecast is not excellent. We are happy we went out!
