Report from Eldey: What an incredible evening. Calm seas, clear skies and a good activity forecast meant we had almost a full boat on this eveninngs cruise. As we sailed out from the harbour we saw our first glimmer of an arch to the north. At first it looked like a cloud but as the night developed so did the northern lights as the glowed in the gaps between the clouds. the intensity of the glow faded in and out and more and more streaks showed to the north over the Esjan and Akrafjall mountain ranges, A perfect end to a great day!
