Tour Status: RUNNING

Report from Hafsúlan: The cold northerly winds reminded us we were sailing at night, in the middle of winter in Iceland. It sure felt freezing but the complimentary overalls, hot chocolates and the excitement to find the northern lights kept us warm. We were optimistic from the very beginning. The aurora activity was high and the sky totally clear. The sky was darker than usual because the moon was not shining, this meant that more stars were visible, Planet Mars shined brightly and shooting stars flew past us every now and then! Then the real show began. First the northern lights were faint. Everyone gathered outside and waited patiently for them to gradually become brighter. The lights kept on increasing in strength through out the tour. At the end we could not believe our eyes! The bright lights covered most of the sky, forming all sort of shapes through a swift dance! Rare colors such as red and purple even appeared between the green lights. This was indeed one of those tours that no guest nor crew member will ever forget.
