Report from Eldey: It was a bit chilly as we set sail out but this enabled us to use our nice warm overalls to keep us warm during the tour. The sky was clear and the forecast seemed good, with an activity level of 3/9. Unfortunately, due to the wind that was rising clouds began to form and spread across the bay. However, after some waiting the northern lights did begin to form, the lights spread across the sky in a wonderful strip of green. They stayed with us for some time but unfortunately they did not grow or intensify to a great extent and were therefore, quite hard to see. It was possible to pick them up on the camera fairly well though. After some time the lights faded and then grew again but were not very strong so it was decided to head back to harbor. As we were unable to show our passengers the lights we would have liked complimentary tickets were offered to allow them to come back on another one of our northern lights tours again for free and hopefully see some stronger lights.
